I’m very proud of Cadence’s empathy and forgiveness.
When she had a problem with Embasidor, she later told me he was having a hard time and played with him later.
I asked her why Silas was having a tough day yesterday. She told me he was having a great day and then thought Skyla was in the wrong position in line & he got upset by it. But it was because there were people absent so it was confusing.
She has such a great heart! So proud!
Cadence has agreed to sign up for gymnastics class! & just this week, has realized she took my suggestion for the first time! 🙌🙌
On Cadence’s teacher, my friend’s kid acts out in class. His mom is an artist & he wants to be an artist. Today, to start the day (& get Si out of the madness), Mr Jerry was sitting w Si & sketching w him. I was impressed that Mr Jerry met Si where he’s comfortable & is trying that tactic w him
Cadence was being cranky with me & later I asked her why bc I didn’t think I did anything to deserve it. She told me she was getting frustrated by Minecraft & that’s why she was being cranky. Was proud to see she could figure that out!
Cadences spring progress report
Here’s Cadence’s spring progress report. So sad the year is over. Cadence has fallen into the routine and really likes Lesley and Ms. G. Luckily, her best friend, Bridget, will be returning next year.
Semi-side note, I’ve been trying to get Cadence to be more responsible. So, now she’ll stop herself after saying mom, & say, never mind, I’m responsible for my own things. ❤️💙💚💜
Oh, & she’s decided she wants a Jean jacket bc one of the teacher wears one & she thinks it looks cute.
We had Cadence’s first Parent-teacher conference at the BTU. Lesley said that Cadence was quiet in the beginning and now very inquisitive. She said Cadence follows her around and asks her why she does something or to find out more about something. Her skill set is great. For example, Cadence is able to identify all her letters and count higher than 20 (the expectation for k1; she counted to 39). I’m happy that Cadence is learning her to write her letters and numbers. She said that Cadence has high emotional intelligence. That she checks in with Bridget when Bridget is grumpy to see if Bridget wants to play. If not she place with someone else. I checked in (though had already confirmed with Cadence) that Cadence is able to handle confrontation. Cadence has told me that if someone is bothering her she does tell Lesley and Lesley puts them in timeout.
I asked if Cadence plays in groups and Lesley said she seems to prefer shy away from that. I said she prefers the calm, to which Lesley replied, how great that Cadence knows that!
