Cadence has been telling me I’ve been yelling at her like I’m a little girl. I told her I’m sorry & that she frustrates me when she doesn’t listen. Today she told me that I need to do what I told her to do and talk it out (the gist).

when Joshie lost a tooth in Boston, Cadence asked if the tooth fairy was real.

i asked if she thought so.

She said she didn’t know but we could stay awake and see if she came.

Cadence is definitely growing! She’s moody & has been eating more food.

i was making something for Cadence in the kitchen and she asked me to change the channel. I told her she’d have to be patient bc I could only do one thing at a time. She told me if I was an octopus I could do both.

We were talking about birds and asked her what she thought birds said. She answered “bread bread bread…”

Cadence said she was “hash tagging all day” while taking selfies with her fake phone.

Cadence made her own contract. She said “I’ll trace your hand and you trace mine and that means you’ll carry me in your pouch (& later that You’ll love me forever).

Cadence isn’t the best at dealing with confrontation. Unlike other kids who instinctively know to push someone away or grab their toys back, Cadence gets a panicky look on her face & doesn’t do anything.

Recently, she got pinched by a schoolmate. I asked her what happened to her arm & she told me “xxx pinched me.” I was mad! No one’s allowed to pinch my girl! Cadence has had a bit of problems with him b/c he’s jealous of her friendship w/ Anthony (I think).

I told her she has to scream “Don’t do that! That hurts!” & tell a teacher. Became a teaching moment. I spoke with Rosie about it the next day & she spoke with xxx and Cadence. Cadence still is mad at the kid & doesn’t want to be his friend. Hopefully she’ll learn how to deal with bullies & confrontation a bit more.
